THE PRE SEASON PROGRAMME

As the summer holidays approach, we will start thinking about the upcoming season in September and how we want to be at our peak performance. 

Alongside holidays and the odd pre-season training session your clubs might be putting on, it’s hard to find the balance and the motivation to start training for your game

The launch of the Pre Season Programme on the NET Membership this month will help you to not only stay accountable to your training and excel your game, but will give you the tools you need to be physically and mentally prepared to step on court in September knowing you’ve worked hard to earn your space in the starting 7!

Why is pre-season training important

After a well-deserved break from the season, your body will have relaxed and possibly lost muscle, conditioning and fitness. All of which are important for the game. 

Pre-Season training helps you to put in the ground work before the rad work of the season begins to help you to strengthen muscles to avoid injury, build a base of fitness to see you through court sprints at training and your first game, and fines your skills and tactical know-how to make sure you are mentally prepared for the game. 

Pre-Season Programmes should include sport specific strength and conditioning, injury prevention programmes, fundamental skill and movement training and recovery work to ensure that you are preparing your body to be both physically and mentally prepared for the game. 

What’s in the NET Pre-Season Programme?

The 2022 Pre-Season Programme is jam packed with content to help you to learn, train and perform like an athlete. 

The progressive programme includes a combination of LIVE zoom training, pre-recorded sessions, shooting and ball-work programmes, landing and injury prevention sessions, recovery videos, athlete podcasts, tactical talks and fitness testing to help support you through 8 weeks of intense, netball focused training. 

The programme can only be accessed on the NET Membership (Home or Ultimate) which means you will also have access to everything else NET has to offer. 

Each session is approximately 20 minutes long meaning it can easily fit into your day and your holiday plans. 

Sessions also require minimum equipment or space so you can access the training no matter your circumstances. 

All sessions are also available on catch-up so if you miss a LIVE session, DON’T PANIC! Just log into your account, head to Pre-Season and find the session you are looking for. 

What will a typical week look like?

We are lucky enough to have NET Members all over the world. So it’s really important to us that you can all access the content no matter your time zone. 

There will be a weekly schedule released for you to follow for best results, however each week’s sessions (expect for lives) will be made available for you to access every Monday so you can look and plan ahead to make sure you can fit it all in.

Who is the Pre-Season Programme for?

If you’ve been around here a long time, you know that all of the NET contact aims to help your learn, train and perform at your best no matter who you are, where you player or how old you are. 

Our sessions are aimed at everyone so there is no excuse to not lace up your trainers, grab your markers (or rolled up socks) and get training. 

All our sessions are easy to understand and can be adapted to suit your fitness levels so that you can keep working hard and excelling your game.

How to access the Pre-Season Programme

Getting started is easy. 

All you need to do it sign up to the NETHome or the NETUltimate Membership (this will also give you access to our gym programme). 

When you sign up, you will get 5 days of the membership for FREE on us! 

The programme will start on the 16th July, however you can access everything else NET has to offer in the meantime and kickstart your training. 

On the 16th July, you will see a PRE-SEASON training option in your NETHome Membership dashboard. Click and away you go!
